We take great pride in producing ties that you and your friends will admire. Most of our customers claim they have never received so many compliments on a necktie, especially from women. Each tie is a unique work of art because the repeats on the fabric are uneven and never cut in an identical fashion.
Our ties and suspenders are made of 100% soft cotton fabric that complement the texture of men's rugged clothes. We have chosen cotton for a few reasons. The main one is that it is an all natural and more humanitarian product. Many people don't reallize that most silk manufacturers boil the silk worms for greater yield. Cotton also holds up better--customers report that it doesn't snare and ties a better knot. Their vibrance is greater than silk or polyester which both reflect the light, producing a shiny surface that is hard to see. And not to be diminished, they are American made.
Our fully tipped ties are perfect for suits, separates, denim and khaki. Their taper and light lining is designed to produce a tight knot. The cotton ties are also 100% cold-water washable (preferably by hand) and colorfast (although it's safe to set the bright ones in a cold vinegar-water solution before washing). They line-dry and steam press, or you may have them dry-cleaned. Regular ties are 56" and extra long are 61". We back our workmanship with an exchange policy should something slip through the cracks.
Brite Ties suspenders are also American made of the same soft cotton. The drop down leather ends are top quality and the drop down clips contain mylar inserts for a firm grip without tearing pants.
Brite Ties loosely fall into three categories: the Abstracts are hand-painted and batiked on fine pima cotton; their pattern repeats evenly over a broad color spectrum, so when ordering specify your preference from colors listed in the tie's description. Novelties such as Animals & Bugs vary by pattern over a consistent color palette so if you require a particular item from the catalogue description (such as monkeys in the middle of the African tie) we will try to accommodate your request. All of our Floral ties and some novelties such as food have similar patterns and color schemes without much variation. It really depends on the broadness of the pattern; usually the larger the pattern the more variation you'll get. You can always ask if you're in doubt.
The company is an outgrowth of two people who bailed out of New York to Western Massachusetts farm country over 30 years ago and who were frustrated at the bow tie, necktie and suspender choices in their area. Fred longed for bold yet tasteful and colorful accessories. Linda, a good seamstress with an eye for design, created some bow ties, then neckties and finally suspenders to meet Fred's taste level. The many compliments have kept Brite Ties' customers coming back for more and the internet made it all possible.
